Event Review: 5.26 Children’s Finance Course

This course is a themed course on cultivating children’s financial intelligence, jointly developed by senior bank entrepreneurs and Joy Valley;

Using children’s favorite toys and cartoon characters to guide their learning, the course is very interesting and special;

A flea market was also held for students to trade idle items, allowing them to act as sellers and buyers, freely pricing and trading in the market, and cultivating students’ awareness of prices and currency;

And our nature education curriculum, creating bamboo baskets, let’s review together!

Lesson 1:Understanding Currency

The mentor uses cartoon character Ultraman as the main element combined with various elements such as economy, finance, numbers, and stories to popularize the origin, style, value, type, and historical changes of currency to children. The use of cartoon popular characters also makes children more active and interactive in the classroom!

Fun Fair – Flea Market

A particularly interesting flea market was held, where children took out their household items and made price tags to price them according to their own measurements. Students sold items to each other, and each child sold their own items and bought what they wanted from other classmates. The experience of selling and buying made the children very happy. In addition, the teacher also found many natural items from the mountain to explain the value and extended value of these items to the students, such as mugwort, a type of grass that can be seen everywhere, with almost no picking cost and no value without treatment. However, if made into ointment or traditional Chinese medicine, the value can be increased.

Enhance children’s awareness of creating value!

Outdoor fun

During the break time after meals, the children played on the grass, challenged the single wooden bridge with the teacher, fluttered butterflies in search of insects, and hidden various small creatures on the grass, making the children’s search enjoyable!

Bamboo craftsmanship

The teacher led the children to the bamboo forest. After explaining and demonstrating, the children were given hands-on experience. From obtaining raw materials to making finished products, the entire process was done by the children themselves. It was really amazing!

Student birthday party

At the end of the course, we also held a birthday party for the students who had May birthdays. Together, we sang birthday wishes and shared delicious cakes, ending this fun and loving class with blessings and laughter!
